Bigmouth Strikes Again - The Smiths

Single van het album The Queen Is Dead, het Magnum Opus van The Smiths. Kenmerkend zijn Morrissey's soms depressieve ("Bigmouth strikes again and I've got no right to take my place with the human race") maar even zo vaak humoristische teksten ("And now I know how Joan of Arc felt as the flames rose to her roman nose and her walkman started to melt") en Johnny Marr's vlammende, melodieuze gitaarspel. Met name dat laatste is op deze single goed te horen waar Marr met de heftige openings-riff onmiddellijk zijn handtekening achterlaat.
