Een paar weken voordat 'Come Into My World' op single verschijnt, gaan de geruchten (door The Sun naar buiten gebracht) dat Kylie Minogue is ingestort. De platenmaatschappij laat door middel van een persbericht het volgende weten: "Contrary to reports in todays edition of The Sun, Kylie Minogue has not had a nervous breakdown, and has not been ordered to cancel everything for a month. Kylie is on a short holiday before returning to the UK to promote her upcoming single, live DVD and book, all released in November. This holiday has been in her schedule for some time and was planned so that she could rest after finishing a huge tour of the UK, Europe and Australia. She is merely enjoying some time off before recommencing promotion in the UK, Europe and America."
