ISOBEL - Björk

'Isobel' is een single afkomstig van het tweede Björk-album Post. De zangeres zelf over dit nummer: "There's a continuity between 'Human Behaviour', 'Isobel' and 'Bachelorette'. I'm not sure if it's a joke or serious - probably a bit of both. It's basically a character I invented called Isobel. In 'Human Behaviour' she's a little girl. She was born in the forest and as she grew older she saw that the pebbles on the forest floor were actually baby skyscrapers. So as she became a fully grown woman she found herself in a city. She stands for intuition which isn't very good in cities and crashes with a lot of well brought up civilized people. She feels too much, falls in love too strong sets open uncomfortable feel-paths in people... So she withdraws, isolates herself (Isobel ) into a little f
