'Adia' staat op het album Surfacing uit 1997. Sarah McLachlan schreef het nummer samen met producer Pierre Marchand. Over deze single zei de zangeres: 'I'm not quite sure how to explain this one but I guess more than anything it's about my problems in dealing with feeling responsible for everyone else.'
